Community KALE-age Brings Community and Vegetables Together

Last weekend was the first (and probably only) Mankato Community KALE-age.

What is a KALE-age you may ask?

It's the brainchild of our Digital Media Content Manager Jacob, who says, "The KALE-age is cute, fun, and unlike anything ever attempted in the past in any way!"  This vegetable-themed homage to a rather well known Mankato community photo project took place during the Compassionate Living Festival which was held May 4th and 5th at Curiosi-Tea House in Upper North Mankato.

We gave away some of the kale babies that we started back in March.  Community members who took a plant home also posed for a photo with their new baby and those photos were combined to create the community's first ever KALE-age.

So take a moment and enjoy the photos of the proud new kale baby parents in this once in a lifetime vegetable-themed community art project.

And a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at the festival!  It was great to get to meet and chat with so many of you!
