We are excited to introduce our new Community Farm Manager, SkyAnne Walker!  SkyAnne brings a wealth of growing knowledge and we are looking forward to working with her.  Please find a short bio below, and if you see her out at the Farm be sure to stop and say hello!

SkyAnne Walker comes to Living Earth Center with a background in Microbiology. She is currently a Clinical Lab Technologist in the Microbiology Department of the Laboratory at Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS) in Mankato.  She is deeply involved with equity, inclusion, and diversity work by serving on multiple committees. She is a small business owner, and volunteers with South Central MN Food Recovery as a distributor. 

SkyAnne draws on her own past experiences with food insecurity to fuel her drive to be involved in the local food economy and to promote food sovereignty for all. She recognizes and directly relates mental wellness to her connection with the natural world.
