Doing Our Work: Racial and Environmental Justice
Join Living Earth Center and Land Stewardship Project in a discussion about racial equity and environmental justice work. The Land Stewardship Project is a grassroots organization that fosters an ethic of stewardship of the land, promotes just and regenerative agriculture, and develops healthy communities. LSP believes that we cannot have a sustainable food and farming system without ensuring that everyone—no exceptions—can lead healthy and vibrant lives with dignity and respect. This means we have to explicitly address the racial inequity that is deeply embedded in our food and farming system. One of the ways LSP is working for racial justice is through equipping our members to identify why racial justice matters for them and how to have conversations about race in their communities.
This session will ground participants in storytelling and shared values, discuss the importance of making our collective voice heard this election season, and ways to take action.
